"You and me goin' fishin' in the dark..."

...Is a song I listened to on my ipod, while we drove to Hope yesterday. We did really fish, just not in the dark, in a lake called "Lake of the Woods". (Near the entrance to the Fraser Canyon)

Now, there's one thing you should know about my Poppa. He loves being near a nice, quiet lake, or somewhere in "the bush", as he calls it. So, naturally, he was the one to tell us about this lake. After stopping at Subway for sandwiches, we piled into our minivan, (I really miss writing "Jeep"), and drove to Lake of the Woods.
A few years ago, Julianna and I were given fishing rods for Christmas, (by Poppa), so we brought them along. We were mostly aiming to practice, but we would of been thrilled to catch one of the five-pound fish the lake bragged. Also, I'm going to bore you with another owl story. Today's owl is one that belongs on my bedroom wall. Now, I love to paint. So When an old cardboard box ended up in the storage room, I got an idea. Here it is: A mural. I decided to paint a mural for my wall.

  1. Emilita. I really did enjoy the day. What a beautiful lake. The fish are still there. Maybe when the weather cools down a bit the fish will be hungrier.
    Keep writing.
    Love Poppa
